We are set to resume training! Here are the modifications we’re making due to COVID-19 to allow us to get back to it.
First, all classes will be meeting outside and therefore dependent on the weather. Class days and/or times may change weekly. Be sure to sign up for a class you will be able to attend.
We will also be limiting the number of handler/dog teams in each class. A signup sheet will be posted on Facebook the week before each class and you will need to sign up each week. If you sign up and can’t make it, you will need to provide at least 48 hours notice. Otherwise, the class will still count against one of your enrollment/renewal classes. If you are not on Facebook or have trouble reserving a slot, please contact us directly.
We will have designated parking spots along the fencing for each person. You will need to potty your dog between the fencing and your vehicle. During class, you will be working in the space between your vehicle and the drive.
We are also requiring everyone to wear a mask and maintain a distance of six feet or more from the other handler/dog teams in the class. Masks will not be provided. You will need to use your own and be sure it covers both your nose and mouth.
If any one other than the handler attends class, they will need to wait in and observe from the vehicle.
Plan on arriving five minutes before your class starts. Since we will be working outside, the gate to the road will close at two minutes prior to the start of class. If you are late, there is a chance you will not be able to get in.
Lastly, by coming to Dogtastic, you certify that you have NOT experienced ANY of the following within the previous 14 days:
Any new symptoms of coughing, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, nausea, fever, chills, or muscle aches;
New loss of taste or smell;
Close contact (within 6 feet for 15 or more minutes) with a person suspected or confirmed as having COVID-19;
Completed COVID-19 testing with results pending or positive; and/or
Travel outside the U.S. or to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or the City of New Orleans.
We’re hopeful of loosening these restrictions over time. In the meantime, if you do not wish to attend classes with the restrictions in place, please feel free to wait. You will not lose any of the classes that you have paid for.
Thanks for your patience and we hope to see you soon!
